Event Details

Enjoy at the Visual Arts Museum (MAVI UC) the exhibition “Ahumar, tejer, grabar, remendar: materialidades en diálogo”. The exhibition crosses the work of six contemporary artists with archaeological and ethnographic objects from the  Pre-Columbian Art Chilean Museum; and it is the result of the artistic investigations of the Materialities in Dialogue project (2020-2021) of the UC School of Art, the Center for Intercultural and Indigenous Studies. The artists participating in the exhibition are Paula Baeza Pailamilla, Gonzalo Barceló, Felipe Cisternas, Natalia Montoya, Mónica Bengoa and Danilo Espinoza. Who propose to look at the material production of native peoples, from contemporary art and make it clear that there are many relationships and closeness. WHEN:  Tuesday to Sunday starting from10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Until March 2023. WHERE: MAS-room, Visual Arts Museum (MAVI UC).  José Victorino Lastarria 307 , Mulato Gil De Castro square, Lastarria neighborhood. Universidad Católica Station, Line 1 or Bellas Artes Station, Line 5 of the Santiago Metro. ENTRANCE: Free for children under 12 years old, over 65 years old, people with disabilities and university students with credentials. $1,000 for 13 to 18 years old:, $2,000 for 19 to 64 years old. Last Sunday of the month free for all public.
