Chilean electric comes to GAM for the first time after its premiere on Matucana 100, after being developed as a co-production with Espacio Checoeslovakia. Nona Fernández's text comes to the scene in a version that rescues the metaphor of light as a key to turning our gaze to memory. A memory device brought to the theater, directed by Francisco Albornoz that addresses the exercise of reconstructing a shared voice. The collective memory and the memory with which Nona Fernández addresses the arrival of electric light to Chile at the end of the 19th century, are narrated in Chilean electric and give way to a collective memory machine in the theater.
