From May 12 to 16, the fifth edition of Santiago Wild 2025 will take place — the largest nature and environmental film festival in Latin America, organized by Ladera Sur with the support of National Geographic Society and Jackson Wild. The event will follow a hybrid format, with in-person screenings in Santiago, Chile, and a free online lineup available through OndaMedia and the official Santiago Wild website. The festival aims to raise awareness around conservation issues and reconnection with nature through film.
The festival will feature over 40 free online documentaries, along with major premieres such as "The Americas" (BBC, narrated by Tom Hanks) and "Nuestros Océanos" (narrated by Barack Obama). A three-day summit will also be held at the Centro Cultural La Moneda, with workshops, talks, and a showroom for audiovisual creators. Special guests include Kartiki Gonsalves (Oscar winner), Fernando Trujillo, and other national and international experts.
