On September 2013 was inaugurated architectonical milestone Inside Quinta Normal Park, to commemorate the 40 years of the Military Coup. Work of the architect Alejandro Aravena, the piece symbolizes the dialogue and understanding.
“Mesa Civica” (Civic Board) is a ring of reinforced concrete with three milestones in its design: an access for an orator; a seesaw, which represents the balanced and horizontal dialogue; and 11 cavities in which flowers can be placed.
