The magic of Chiloé has arrived in the Yungay neighborhood! You can find it at the DecoCalen store, located in the historic Yungay district.
This collaborative collective brings together 107 artisans from the Los Lagos and Santiago regions, focusing on recycling and various art techniques such as sheep’s wool spinning, native wood crafts, plant-based cosmetics, and clothing, among others. In the gourmet section, they offer products made with local ingredients like Chiloé garlic and jams made from myrtle, currants, and rosehip.
The space also features an art gallery, located in the store’s mezzanine, called “La Palomera,” where local artists can exhibit their work in traveling shows.
A library and bookstore will also be opening soon, along with literature and craft workshops.
