Chilean composer Tomás Brantmayer presents Canción de cuna para Fuegia Basket, a piece inspired by the story of Fuegia, a Kawésqar girl taken to England in the 19th century and returned to southern Chile a year later.  Through melodies rooted in the European classical-romantic tradition and sounds evoking the winds of Patagonia, the work reflects the clash of worlds and the cultural imposition experienced by indigenous peoples.
