The distinguished Chilean artist Catalina Gato inaugurates her most recent work, Escenas Cat Astróficas, at the Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, just steps from Metro Cal y Canto, in Santiago. This innovative exhibition features four dioramas that recreate urban scenes in miniature, with an aesthetic that is as delicate as it is unsettling. Through these meticulously constructed worlds, the artist invites viewers to reflect on the tensions of power, urban chaos, and the fragility of contemporary social balance. The work continues the conceptual line initiated by her installation El gato gigante, previously exhibited at the Galería Nacional de Praga and in various venues throughout Chile.
