The Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art inaugurates a new exhibition that, for the first time in Latin America, presents a collection of Andean colonial textiles from various museums and private collections in Peru and Chile, thanks to the collaborative effort between the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, Hidden | BHP and LarrainVial.
With 55 pieces corresponding to textiles, silverware, among others, which are of special beauty and technical sophistication, in addition to four colonial oil paintings of great artistic and historical value, the exhibition can be seen between December 4, 2024 and 29 June 2025. These Andean and colonial pieces have the particularity of having been manufactured during the colony, in a scenario of contacts between cultures.
