Visit our Tourist information center in Plaza de Armas, the exhibition that proposes a tour through plaques and spaces that honors the memory of those who suffered violations of their Human rights during the military dictatorship that ruled the country until 1989.

There are ten places located in different Santiago´s neighborhoods, that invites to think about the past, the present and the future of our commune and our nation. Some of them are Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos, Londres 38 and the old “Clínica Santa Lucía”.

The images hold a QR code, it will allow visitors to see the information about sites of memory in our website www.santiagoturismo.cl

The photographies of this exhibition belong to the work of César Jopia, Multimedia Producer with over 30 years of experience in press photography, documentary films, and audiovisual projects,  Director & Fundator of BIOMA Magazine, in present part of the staff of tourism Department at Municipalidad de Santiago.

The exhibition “Memorial Sites”  is part of the activities prepared by the municipality of Santiago to commemorate the 50th anniversary from the military coup on September 11th 1973, focused on appreciating the collective memory of our commune and Chile.

When. From August 1st until december 29th. Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 17:00 hrs. weekend and holidays from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs.
