Considered one of the great Romantic ballets, Giselle explores themes of love, forgiveness, and redemption. The story follows a young peasant girl who, upon discovering the betrayal of her beloved Albrecht, dies of heartbreak. After her passing, her spirit joins the Wilis—vengeful ghosts of jilted women—in a tale filled with emotion, beauty, and tragedy.
Featuring the music of Adolphe Adam and choreography by Ivan Nagy & Marilyn Burr, this production by the Santiago Municipal Theatre stands out for its artistic rigor, striking sets and costumes, and musical direction by Pedro-Pablo Prudencio.
