The contemporary Art Museum MAC, in Parque forestal, invites to celebrate its anniversary N°75 with the inauguration of ten exhibitions, national artists mostly, that worked on different disciplines and supports, such as sculptures, photographs, mountages, engravings, digital pieces and muralist art among many others.
The works were inspired by thematics of local and global contingency , the research and realization based on historic places and events; and the rereading of classic creation techniques, surrounding current imaginaries
Stands out:
“Beberemos el vino de nuevo, juntos!” (we'll drink the wine again, together), by the Artists Alys Longley and Máximo Corvalán-Pincheira. The duo proposes an international artistic interchange with around 100 artists, from every continent in the world, that was released in plenty pandemic in 2020.
“Get Ready for my Mango”. By the artist Manuela Viera-Gallo. a visual story from a feminist perspective. The exhibition is exclusively composed of pictorial works, next to a big mural that is spreaded on the four walls of a room inside the museum.
“Plebiscito en Chile, 1988”. By the artist Álvaro Hoppe Guiñez. is about photographs that show the chilean political, social and historical process that ended with the plebiscite in october 8th 1988. Through this compilation , the first demonstrations for democracy are revived. the campaigns of “Si”(YES) or “NO”(No)
