Come and learn about the history and true treasures held in the Sacristy of the Metropolitan Cathedral with a free tour every Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This true colonial treasure connects to the church through an imposing American oak door. Upon entering, you will see an 18th-century altarpiece belonging to the Society of Jesus, with a carved image of the Crucified Christ and at its feet, the tabernacle of the reserve.
Visitors can also admire a majestic Empire-style lamp that belonged to the First National Congress, as well as a 17-meter-long and three-meter-high mahogany cabinet of Jesuit origin.
