Join us for a unique journey through Cerro Welen (Santa Lucía), exploring its role as a strategic landmark for the original inhabitants of the Mapocho Valley. This tour will unveil facets of Mapuche cosmovision—woven into daily life, agricultural cycles, and spiritual beliefs—while highlighting the hill’s enduring cultural significance.
Held in honor of the National Day of Indigenous Peoples, the experience will also delve into the site’s colonial history through Spanish chronicles and excerpts from Álbum del Santa Lucía, the renowned book by 19th-century governor Benjamín Vicuña Mackenna.
