The National Circus Museum is a space dedicated to preserving, studying and disseminating the rich history and culture of the circus in Chile, through a collection of objects, costumes and other elements of circus life.

It opened its doors in November 2021, in the cultural space formerly called the Yellow House, behind the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center, as an initiative of a group of circus enthusiasts, aimed at showing and valuing the work of artists throughout the years. years.

The collections of the National Circus Museum are a treasure that transports us to the history and magic of the Chilean circus, through costumes and scenic elements. There you will find colorful clown costumes like “Tachuela Chico” and “Pastelito”; costumes by Cesar Sánchez, animator of Las Águilas Humanas, circus models, old advertising posters, juggling, trapezes and other instruments that allow us to appreciate the skill and creativity of Chilean circus artists.

Each object tells a story and connects us with the traditions and festive spirit that has characterized the circus through the years.
