It is the festivity with which Chile celebrates its National Holidays, on September 18 and 19 of each year.
During this month, the country enthusiastically joins in the activities that revive more than century-old traditions, while the atmosphere is invaded by cuecas chords, the aroma of typical gastronomy and kites flying through the skies of Chile.
This 2022, after two years suspended, the celebrations returned under the motto “Celebremnos Bien Santiago” (Let’s Celebrate Well Santiago). The celebrations were concentrated in Parque O’Higgins and some neighborhoods of the commune. In this way and for five days, Santiago residents and visitors enjoyed traditional foods, typical games, music and national dance, whose notes resonated both in O’Higgins Park and in the squares of Bogotá, Panama, San Camilo Fair and Parque de Los Reyes.
