Mural art is expressed in different neighborhoods of our Capital Commune, one of them is Franklin Sierra Bella. The “Franklin Sierra Bella Mural Route” project was developed there. There, beautiful murals tell the history of this neighborhood through art.

“La Mueblería” / The furniture store. It pays tribute to Rafael Romero, a historic furniture and cabinet maker from the neighborhood, who used that house as a workshop to develop his craft. Author. Patricio Albornoz. Location. Artemio Gutiérrez with General Gana.

“Ferrocarril de cintura” / Waist Railway . On Placer Street, in the Franklin neighborhood, a train passed that transported animals to the Franklin Slaughterhouse and also other supplies such as wood. “Plaza Bogotá y sus hitos históricos” / Plaza Bogotá and its historical landmarks. Here the memory of Cine América is captured, the only one that existed in the neighborhood; the Soda Fountain, “El Triumph” and the historic “Carnaval San Antonio de Padua”, which these days is still more relevant than ever. “El fútbol y los clubes de barrios” / Football and neighborhood clubs. Several sports clubs were born in these streets. “Protección del agua y el medioambiente” / Protection of water and the environment.
