The Persa Víctor Manuel hosts in one of its corridors, the Taller del Mono Gallery where you can see and buy the works of the prominent Chilean muralist and visual artist, Alejandro “Mono González”, who with his work and presence, is already part of the identity from the Franklin neighborhood.

Each piece has the unmistakable stamp of the artist, in different sizes and media, such as engravings, woodcuts and silkscreens, in addition to graphic experimentation. All of this makes up a diverse and unique ensemble, which integrates perfectly with the urban art approach of this traditional shed.

The Taller del Mono Gallery also opens its doors to exhibitions by other artists, book signings, poster releases and silk-screen t-shirt printing days, among other activities.

Alejandro “Mono” has left the mark of his art in different cities in Chile, as well as countries such as Argentina, Canada, China, Spain, France, Italy, Ukraine and Vietnam. In the commune of Santiago, walls in the Lastarria and Yungay neighborhoods exhibit his work.

In August 2024, the Municipality of Santiago awarded Alejandro “Mono” González the “Santiago Medal” in recognition of his outstanding career, social commitment and contribution to art and culture.

Víctor Manuel, 2220, Santiago.
