Come and enjoy the last day of the 33rd UC Contemporary Music Festival that this time it will take place at the MAVI UC Museum of Visual Arts. During the day you can see the sound installation “Metamodern rains and overflows” (2024) by Jaime Cid-Lara (1991) and then there will be two performances by Americans composers: Diego Castro and Cristián Alvear, who on electric guitars will address Lower Limit by Michael Winter (1980), and an ensemble of flutes, saxophone, violin, cello, four electric guitars, two electric organs and, in addition, electronics, will stage In a large, open space (1994) by James Tenney. At 6 p.m. there will be a concert that will begin with the cellist Beatriz Lemus and the first audition in Chile of  “Framed”, by Maximiliano Soto (1991) and will continue with the guitarists Antonio Hasbún and Diego García, while violinist Gabriel Morales will address Anthèmes I by Pierre Boulez, and Cristián Alvear, on electric guitar, will present The Possibility of a New Work for Electric Guitar by Morton Feldman. In closing, Gesture Vocal Ensemble of Soloists, directed by Cristián Fernández Toro, will offer the absolute premiere of Fentrot Soundmaxxing (2024) by Emilio Adasme (1994).
