La Posada del Presidente is a restaurant in the Historic Center that stands out for serving traditional dishes of national cuisine, the various cuts of grilled meats being the most desired by diners, such as the preparations entrecôte, steak, outside skirt, tomahawk, pork rosemeat and short loin. Other dishes that stand out are the pot roast short plate, beef rib casserole, supreme grilled chicken, pippin and grilled salmon.
It also has a large bar that offers various appetizers to accompany, such as traditional mojito, mojito flavors (Raspberry, passion fruit, mango), caipirinha, national pisco sour and pisco sour tabernero.
The restaurant is located in a large heritage house that was the home of President José Manuel Balmaceda, a property which is located in a Historic Preservation area that had rooms, social meeting rooms, even a stable was included right on the site where the dining rooms are currently located.
