Visit the Matta Sur neighborhood, this park, inaugurated in April 2022 as a new recreation alternative for residents and visitors of this traditional sector of Santiago.

It is located next to the municipal building, Ex Asilo Hermanitas de los Pobres, and its design considered a focus on water saving and ecological sustainability, by incorporating native plant species and recycled furniture.

There are more than 16 thousand square meters of free access and its name is a tribute to the artisan Alicia Cáceres, a resident of the Matta Sur neighborhood, who in 2016 received the Orden al Mérito Artístico y Cultural Pablo Neruda from President Michelle Bachelet, in recognition of his extensive career.

The Park shares space with the modern Latin American Children’s and Youth Interactive Library, Bilij, of the Fundación Palabra, which promotes access to reading material and objects: and whose programming brings children and young people closer to reading and writing, culture, arts, humanities and science.

Ventura Lavalle, 470, Santiago.
