Located in José Miguel de la Barra, this bookstore offers texts focused on literature, philosophy, visual arts, social sciences, political science, among others, by Chilean and Latin American authors. It was founded in 2003 by Sergio Parra, a poet, voracious reader and active participant in the eighties underground, and in 2005, he created the Metales Pesados publishing house, focused on developing and expanding critical thinking through publications that provoke debate and tension in readers, becoming a benchmark in Chile and Latin America.
In addition to young writers and lovers of literature, the bookstore is frequently visited by intellectuals such as the Spanish critic Ignacio Echeverria or the Chilean Pablo Azócar, as well as the writer Pedro Lemebel, with whom Sergio forged a great friendship.
